Plasticwhelmed

Exploring plastic overwhelm and looking for hope. A film, Padlet of information and two hoops made from streetcombed plastics.

I am overwhelmed by all the plastic in my house, in the shops, in the world, by all the stuff. Its too much. I make art from waste plastic - plastic that would otherwise be sent for "recycling", to landfill or be burnt. I made a very short film thinking about my overwhelm.

Made using found hula hoops, worn out sheets and streetcombed plastic. When exhibited Plasticwhelmed (film) can be played within the screenshape of Plastic (problem) using the augmented reality app Artivive. The QR code on Plastic (solutions) takes viewers directly to the Padlet. (Internet access permitting)
